About the project
The goal of this project was to optimize a complex online form. I focused on transforming a complicated, single screen process into an intuitive step by step flow to improve readability and reduce user errors.
Process Structuring
Problem: The data collection process was fragmented and overwhelming on a single screen, which could lead users to abandon the form.
Solution: Implemented a multi step form. Breaking the content into three smaller, logical sections allowed the user to focus on one chunk of information at a time, significantly reducing cognitive load.
Decision Clarity & Hierarchy
Problem: The choices required of the user were complex and lacked clear visual context.
Solution: Designed large, distinct selection cards with prominent icons and descriptions. This solution not only looks modern but, most importantly, makes it easy to quickly scan options and make the correct decision.
Trust & Data Validation
Problem: Users might have concerns about data accuracy and security when entering sensitive information, leading to frustration upon errors.
Solution: I focused on a trusted UI with a clean background, modern typography, and distinct sectioning, tailoring the style to the target audience. Additionally, I included tooltip descriptions and clear input labels, building user confidence throughout the data entry process.
Summary / Result
The final result is a clean and modern application process that guides the user every step of the way. By eliminating visual clutter and implementing proven UX patterns, such as logical data chunking and clear field labeling. The form has become a user friendly and efficient tool. This approach significantly reduces cognitive load and the time required for accurate completion.
